How users opt in
SwimAcademy collects SMS consent via an optional, unchecked checkbox that appears in a clearly separated section of the account registration page at https://www.swimacademyusa.com/account/register. The SMS opt-in section is visually separated from the account creation fields with its own heading, border, and background, making it unmistakably clear that SMS consent is a standalone, optional choice.
Users can create an account and use all SwimAcademy services without checking this box. SMS consent is not a condition of account creation, purchase, or use of any service.
Why this opt-in is distinct
- The SMS checkbox is unchecked by default.
- The SMS consent language appears inside its own bordered section titled Optional: SMS Text Updates.
- The phone number field above the section is collected for account creation only and contains no SMS or marketing language.
- The Create Account button appears below, outside the separate SMS section.
- Users may ignore the SMS section entirely and still complete registration.
